Community Life Offers Enhanced Living Services Program
Have you ever had a tough day or week and wished someone else could prepare your lunch, do your laundry or get your mail? Birch Hill understands that the needs of our independent residents’ ebb and flow. From this understanding, Enhanced Living Services was created.
Enhanced Living offers a little extra help or support on an as needed basis. The services could include:
- Light housekeeping
- Changing linens
- Taking out trash and recycling
- Light meal preparation
- Organizing closets or bathrooms
- Arranging services with maintenance, transportation and housekeeping
- Participating in crafts and hobbies
- Assistance with grooming and dressing
- Coordinating with social services regarding changing needs
What a relief to know that you or your loved one can find an extra level of care right in the community by staff you already know and trust. These services are priced at only $28 per hour with a 30-minute minimum. In the Manchester area, outside vendors charge up to $40 per hour for the same level of assistance.
Birch Hill Social Worker Kelly Spiak is heading up this new program and has received a positive response from many residents. Kelly shares, “This program really improves the quality of life for independent residents who just need a little extra help from time to time, without sacrificing independence. They are not quite ready to move to assisted living but need some help with things in their apartment such as changing linens, doing laundry or even transportation.”
Birch Hill currently has openings for independent residents. Don’t wait until it is too late. Learn more about living your best life at Birch Hill.
